Often you hear that you should avoid eating bread if you want to lose weight. But what kind of bread is there? And how much should you really have? Here are some answers that will allow you to consume bread without sacrificing your slimming goals! Whole bread is rich in fibre, takes longer to digest and thus helps to take the edge off hunger pangs. A slice of bread with each meal is just fine! For 20g of wholemeal bread, you consume about 50 calories. For the same amount of baguette, you consume about 60 calories. Wholemeal bread is also rich in magnesium, vitamins and minerals. If you want to eat bread without gaining weight, avoid industrial breads, brioches, "fancy" breads and bread crumbs - all of these can contain too much salt and even sugar!
